Bugged Out Eyes

Step-By-Step Instructions:
1. Open a high resolution photograph of a person's face in Photoshop.

2. Goto Layer > Duplicate Layer... and click OK when the Duplicate Layer pop-up appears.
3. Turn off the bottom layer by clicking the "Eye" icon for that layer in the Layers Palette.

4. With the new duplicate layer selected, select the eraser tool and erase everything except the eyes and some of the skin that surrounds the eyes.

5. Select the Polygonal lasso tool.

6. Create a selection around the left eye.

7. Click CTRL+X to cut and remove the eye.
8. Click CTRL+V to paste that eye. This will put the left eye onto a new layer.
9. Turn back on the bottom layer by clicking the "Eye" icon in the Layers Palette.

10. With the bottom layer active (the layer that has the entire photograph of the person), click CTRL+T to enter into Free Transform mode.
11. Use a corner shape handle while holding down the shift key and drag to shrink the image.

12. Select the layer with the Right Eye and move it over the area where the right eye should be.
13. Select the layer with the Left Eye and move it over the area where the left eye should be.

14. Select the Eraser tool. On both layers, erase any areas of skin around the eyes that cover any other facial features (ie. eyebrows, nose, etc).

15. Goto Layer > Flatten Image to merge all the layers.
16. Select the Smudge Tool and choose an appropriate sized brush.
17. Carefully smudge around the eyes so that they blend with the face.
18. You're done! You should now have your bugged out eyes!
