Summary:
This tutorial shows how to add a date stamp to a photograph. To do this tutorial, you will need a font that looks similar to the kind used by cameras when creating date stamps. For that reason, we have included the Digital Readout Upright font for you to download. Right click here on Date Font, then choose Save As. Unzip the font and then copy the font into your fonts folder. The next time you open Photoshop, the "Digital Readout Upright" font should be available for you to use.
As a disclaimer, this tutorial is not intended to be used maliciously to deceive others about the actual time that a certain photograph was taken. Step-By-Step Instructions:
1. Open in Photoshop the photograph that you would like to add a date stamp too.
2. Select the Type Tool.
3. Choose a shade of Orange as your font color.
4. Click the dropdown box for the font and choose the "Digital Readout Upright" that you downloaded from the Summary above in this tutorial.
5. Click in the bottom right corner of the photograph and type a date.
The most convincing date format is: [day][space][month][apostrophe][two-digit-year].
So an example of April 16, 2001 would look like: 16 4'01. (See below)
